Optimizing Recruitment Strategy

The Challenge

  • Financial Institution was faced with recruiting challenges during a peak growth moment. The client was driving all their candidates to an applicant portal, where a lengthy, multi-step administrative process began. The client discovered that their internal staff did not have the capacity to process the large volume of applicants in a timely manner, which was critical in securing top talent.
  • In an environment with competition for high-quality diverse Information Technology talent from top-tier institutions so fierce, it was critical to partner with an experienced, agile provider able to deliver these highly administrative processes at a rapid pace, given the very short recruiting cycle.

The Solution

Armed with an in-depth understanding of optimizing a high volume process with a very high touch relationship management component, Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions implemented a delivery model headed by a Project Manager and recruiting team backed by scalable resources during this high demand situation.  The scope of the engagement has also expanded to include both IT and Accounting and Finance areas of business.  In order to streamline the process and improve candidate communications, the Accelerate team leveraged tools such as MS Teams, Zoom and RingCentral to facilitate face-to-face interview scheduling and Sense to enhance email marketing campaigns.  Accelerate also created a sourcing requisition model that improved efficiency and tracking functions.

The Results

The efficiencies provided by the Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions model have allowed the team to consistently process greater numbers of applicants being processed in within eight weeks, with a 95% on-time delivery status.  The enhancements to the program have also made it possible to create more frequent and positive candidate and client touch points within a very short-term engagement.  We continue to work with the client and to refine the IT recruitment program, with further enhancements around process and technology in the works.
